Overview

This course provides an introduction to computer networks, with a special focus on the Internet architecture and protocols. Topics include layered network architectures, addressing, naming, forwarding, routing, communication reliability, the client-server model, web and email protocols. The course also includes information on key devices found on local area networks (LANs), and explains the structure and function of the different types of LANs and WANs. You will learn how key devices found on LANs such as hubs, switches, and routers allow for effective and efficient communication on the LAN, and more
